The hotel construction boom in Dubai or Shanghai is fascinating. But even more exciting is what is currently happening in Marrakech. In this traditional holiday destination 19 new hotels are under current construction and development. Among those luxury Selman Marrakech Resort with just 56 rooms and suites (TOPHOTELPROJECTSNr. 12924) and scheduled to open in May stands out.
Besides the 30 deluxe rooms and the 20 junior suites there are also six deluxe suites and five so-called "Riads" available, two to three storied Moroccan houses, each equipped with private garden, heated pool and 24 hour butler service providing first class comfort.
The Selman Marrakech makes its debut as one of the Moroccan resorts of international reputation. Its central location – 10 minute walk to the city center – and the proximity to nearby three golf courses prove the point. The spa "Expace Vitalité Chenot" itself is a highlight: the1,115 square meter sized area offers a bathing pond, seven treatment rooms, four rooms for hydrotherapy, a jet massager pool, sauna and of course a hammam.

According to TOPHOTELPROJECTS there are 48 hotel projects with more than 15,000 rooms under construction and development in Morocco. Of those 19 new hotels and resorts will be built in Marrakech (5,500 rooms in total). The largest hotel project thereby is the Chrifia Oasis Resort near Marrakech with 2,500 rooms (TOPHOTELPROJECTS Nr. 11030) and expected to open towards the of this year.
