Hilton Worldwide to Operate New Build, 168-room Hilton Garden Inn Montevideo in Uruguay

Expected to Open Late in 2014, Property will Form Part of Montevideo Shopping Center, Uruguay's First Mall, Developed by Estudio Luis E. Lecueder

Hilton Worldwide today announced the signing of a management agreement to operate a Hilton Garden Inn hotel in Montevideo, Uruguay – the country's capital and financial center. The new-build 168-room Hilton Garden Inn Montevideo, expected to open in late 2014, represents the brand's eighth development project in Latin America and Hilton Worldwide's first managed hotel in Uruguay.

Hilton Garden Inn Montevideo will form part of Montevideo Shopping Center - Uruguay's first mall, which was developed and is managed by Estudio Luis E. Lecueder. Hilton Worldwide will operate the hotel under the terms of a multi-year management agreement as part of its growth efforts in Latin America.

The hotel will be located inside the Montevideo Shopping Mall and directly across from the World Trade Center – both of which were developed by Estudio Lecueder. Hilton Garden Inn Montevideo will feature 168 guest rooms, all with the Garden Sleep System® allowing guests to adjust the firmness and softness of the bed, ergonomic Mirra® chair by Herman Miller, LCD high-definition, flat-screen television, easy-to-set alarm clock with MP3 connectivity, a spacious work desk, and a "hospitality center" that features a mini refrigerator and coffee maker.

Dining options will include a full service restaurant offering freshly prepared full, cooked-to-order breakfast, lunch and dinner, and a lobby lounge. The hotel will also feature the 24-hour Pavilion Pantry® shop with a selection of delicious readymade meals, beverages and snacks.
