18 new top hotels for Istanbul

The tourism in Istanbul is booming. With a two-digit growth rate of overnight visitors the currently roughly 100,000 existing hotel beds are insufficient. In the coming two years 18 new first class and luxury hotel with approximately 4,000 beds will open their doors in the cosmopolitan métropole at the "Bosporus". This announced TOPHOTELPROJECTS, the worldwide leading provider of hotel project lead data and worldwide hotel chain contacts.

In the first half of 2012 4,2 million tourists travelled to Istanbul. That is an increase of 18,7 per cent compared to the previous year period. Most of them arrived from Germany, followed by Russia, the US, France, Great Britain and Iran. Istanbul counts worldwide as one of the ten most favourite conference cities.

This year several international top hotels opened their doors, thereof the Renaissance Istanbul Bosphorus (212 rooms) and the Crowne Plaza Istanbul – Ora (278 rooms). Also the hotel chains Le Méridien, Renaissance and Rixos welcomed their new properties in Istanbul.
