Marco Polo Hotels Launches a New Lifestyle Magazine

Marco Polo Hotels, one of the leading hospitality brands in the Asia Pacific region recently launched its signature lifestyle magazine. The powerhouse location of the three Hong Kong properties from the Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel, Prince Hotel and the Gateway Hotel in synergy with the seven Marco Polo hotels in mainland China and three hotels in Southeast Asia will be harnessed and will be one of the most influential sources of information and...

Inspired by the iconic Venetian explorer and reflecting how Marco Polo would be resurrected if he authored his own magazine today. "Over 700 years later, the ultimate luxury of discovering destinations or exploring exotic cultures have evolved but its magic remains and we would like to keep this spirit of adventure burning in the rebirth of our magazine," said May Pendraat, Vice President Sales and Marketing of Marco Polo Hotels. Editorial coverage highlights the best in dining, culture, fashion, shopping, luxury pursuits and the adventurous discovery of a myriad of destinations.

The Marco Polo magazine will be published on a quarterly basis in a glossy bilingual format of English and Chinese. 15,000 copies will be printed on a quarterly basis with a readership of 195,000 guests per issue across 4,463 rooms and suites within the thirteen Marco Polo Hotels in Asia. Marco Polo Hotels currently manages thirteen hotels in cities including Hong Kong, Beijing, Foshan, Jinjiang, Shenzhen, Suzhou, Wuhan and Xiamen in China; Cebu and Davao in the Philippines; Phuket in Thailand. Eight more hotels are scheduled to open between now and 2017; they are located in Changzhou, Chengdu, Changsha, Chongqing, Guiyang, Suzhou CBD and Wuxi of China; Manila in the Philippines.

The next issue is scheduled for the summer season which covers July, August and September 2013. The Marco Polo Hotels has appointed the Hong Kong based Milestone Communications as its contract publisher who will also be managing all editorial and advertising opportunities on behalf of the magazine.
