There is still time to apply for a 2013 HOSPA hospitality Career Investment Development Scholarship – the closing date for entries is 1 November 2013.
The importance of attracting young people into the rewarding key disciplines of hospitality Finance, Revenue Management and IT and developing their skills cannot be over-emphasised. With this in mind, HOSPA is delighted to announce Career Investment Development Scholarship opportunities for five upcoming young people (30 years old and under on 1 November), working in hospitality Finance, Revenue Management and IT; and Future Career Investment Development Scholarships for five aspiring hospitality students who have excelled in their current studies.
The 2013 HOSPA Scholarship Awards offer the 10 lucky winners the opportunity to be noticed and publicly recognised for their outstanding achievements in the work place and the classroom. The prize comprises a full day's attendance at HOSPA's annual Conference and Exhibition – HOSPACE 2013 – on 21 November at the Sofitel London Heathrow, Terminal 5. In addition, there will be a place at the Conference Dinner where their achievements will be recognised. Also each recipient will be featured in the Conference Edition of the HOSPA journal, The Overview.

Criteria for HOSPA Scholarships:
The HOSPA 2013 Career Investment Development Scholarship criteria for upcoming young people (30 years old and under on 1 November), working in hospitality Finance, Revenue Management and IT application are:
- Candidates must be 30 years or younger on 1 November 2013
- Candidates must be employed in a hospitality organisation – working in finance, revenue management or IT
- Candidates must have been working in the industry for a minimum of twelve months
- Only one application per company
- Applications must be accompanied by a CV and letter outlining why the candidate should be considered
- Candidates must be nominated by senior members of the hospitality industry.

The HOSPA 2013 Future Career Investment Development Scholarship criteria for application for aspiring hospitality students who have excelled in their current studies are:
- Candidates must be 30 years or younger on 1 November 2013
- Candidates must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate course related to hospitality at a UK University or College
- Candidates must be nominated by their course leader
- A course leader can only nominate one student
- Applications must be accompanied by a CV and letter outlining why the candidate should be considered.
