Statement by Darren Edmonstone, Outrigger Hotels and Resorts, Managing Director, Asia Pacific: This weekend, on November 3, we lost a dear member of the Outrigger APAC Corporate Office when William "Willie" Marshall passed away in his sleep at his home in Phuket. The specific cause of death is yet unknown.
Statement by Darren Edmonstone, Outrigger Hotels and Resorts, Managing Director, Asia Pacific: This weekend, on November 3, we lost a dear member of the Outrigger APAC Corporate Office when William "Willie" Marshall passed away in his sleep at his home in Phuket. The specific cause of death is yet unknown.
William 'Willie' Marshall - we will remember him...
Willie joined Outrigger in mid 2012 as General Manager, Planning & Support, and in a short time, made significant contributions to the successes in the APAC region with his extensive industry knowledge and years of seasoned experience.
Willie had over 37 years' experience in the hospitality industry and held many different positions all around the world including UK, France, China, the Bahamas and Japan, to name a few.
Many will remember Willie for his unwavering passion, professionalism and commitment. Willie was liked by all who ever had the good fortune to meet with him.
Willie is survived by his wife, Grace and two children, James and Alexandra. Everyone in the Outrigger 'ohana (family) is united in respecting the family's need for privacy at this time of grieving. Services are pending. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
We will miss Willie very much. He was an important member of the Outrigger APAC management team and a good friend to us all. He will be long-remembered in the hospitality industry and it was an honor to be colleagues at Outrigger with Willie.
We will remember him always with respect, fondness and warmest aloha.
