Westin New York Grand Central Brings Culinary and Wellness Amenities to Neighborhood Locals and Hotel Guests Alike with Free ‘Westin Wednesdays’ Events
The Westin New York Grand Central has launched a weekly interactive series of complimentary culinary and wellness experiences for hotel guests and neighboring New Yorkers alike. After recently celebrating its first year as a Westin, the hotel is now expanding awareness about its best and most distinct amenities, with hosted events each Wednesday from 4:30pm to 5:30pm in the lobby of the hotel.

After recently celebrating its first year as a Westin, the hotel is now expanding awareness about its best and most distinct amenities, with hosted events each Wednesday from 4:30pm to 5:30pm in the lobby of the hotel.
Westin Wednesdays free events feature special food tastings, as well as interactive events including cheese tastings with New York favorite Murray's Cheese, NYC Travel Tips and Q&A with the hotel's Travel Ambassador Lisa Loverro and wine tastings hosted by the hotel's restaurant, THE LCL: Bar & Kitchen.
By welcoming local New Yorkers with this series of free Westin Wednesdays events, the hotel is introducing its neighbors and the Manhattan community to its top notch amenities, showcasing its amenities to New Yorkers to visit the hotel bar for cocktails after work or enjoy THE LCL: Bar & Kitchen for dinner. Overnight guests are enjoying an enhanced on-property experience, building relationships with the hotel team and learning more about special amenities available during their stay.
The event kicked off November 6 with complimentary Starbucks coffee tastings hosted by the hotel's Food & Beverage Director. Upcoming events include:
- November 13: Cheese tasting station featuring New York favorite Murray's Cheese, including Q&A to promote Murray's Cheeses of the Month served in The LCL: Bar & Kitchen.
- November 20: Chef Brian Weiler cooking demo with recipes that incorporate Superfoods, including tastings and Q&A with the Chef.
- November 27: Complimentary tastings of wines by the glass, hosted by THE LCL: Bar & Kitchen and hotel managers
Westin Wednesdays events will continue through 2014. Upcoming events will highlight fitness-themed amenities, including the RunWESTIN™ program and tips from the hotel's Running Concierge.
