Following the final draw and match schedule for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, football fans can begin to make plans based on when and where their favourite team is playing. With accommodation prices reportedly soaring through the roof and new hotels being built especially for the occasion, everyone is wondering how much a hotel will cost during this time. Hotel comparison website www.trivago.co.uk can reveal the average price per night for the matches England may play.
Group D: Manaus, São Paulo and Belo Horizonte
In the first part of the World Cup, England will take on Italy, Uruguay and Costa Rica. Hotel prices have increased by as much as 105 per cent compared to the average during June and July 2013, with Manaus as the most expensive location.
1st of Group D: Recife, Salvador and São Paulo
If England finishes first in Group D, they will play the following matches in Recife, Salvador and São Paulo. Hotel prices have increased most significantly for the Quarter Final in Salvador. One night on Saturday 5th July will cost an average of £245, up 243 per cent from this year.
2nd of Group D: Rio de Janeiro, Fortaleza and Belo Horizonte
If England finishes first in Group D, they will play the following matches in Rio, Fortaleza and Belo Horizonte. Surprisingly, hotel prices are currently up significantly more for the Round of 16 than the Quarter Final or the Semi Final. This is probably due to the match's location in the popular city of Rio de Janeiro.
Final: Rio de Janeiro
Unsurprisingly, hotel prices have increased significantly for the final on 13th July in Rio. An overnight stay will cost £370 on average, which is a 148 per cent increase from 2013 prices.
