Final Call For Entries into HTNG'S Fifth Annual Most Innovative Hospitality Technology Competition

Hotel technology experts to vote on the best new technologies from 2013

Hotel Technology Next Generation (HTNG), the membership association that unites the world's hospitality companies and technology innovators to solve industry challenges, is closing entries for its fifth annual competition in one week. Hoteliers will then vote on the most innovative technology launched for hospitality last year and HTNG will announce the winners at its North American Conference on March 6, 2014.

CHICAGO (January, 21 2014) – Hotel Technology Next Generation (HTNG), the membership association that unites the world's hospitality companies and technology innovators to solve industry challenges, is closing entries for its fifth annual competition in one week. Hoteliers will then vote on the most innovative technology launched for hospitality last year and HTNG will announce the winners at its North American Conference on March 6, 2014.

HTNG's annual competition is one of many ways that HTNG fosters hospitality technology improvements for the greater good of the industry. "Since HTNG's inception, we have focused on helping vendors innovate solutions that better meet hotels' needs. Indeed, some past winners have noted how their involvement in HTNG helped them design new and better products," said Douglas Rice, Executive Vice President & CEO of HTNG. He added, "I look forward to seeing which innovations resonate with our hotelier members each year and take pride in seeing those that were driven by HTNG's collaborative process."

The judges in the competition are technology-focused hoteliers, which include top technologists from all of the world's top 10 hotel brands, as well as independent hotels. They can review the entrants online, or at the conference, and then vote for their choices.

This year's winner will join past winning companies Quadriga, Philips/TP Vision, Intelity and MTech. These winners have benefitted by being able to promote their product as "Most Innovative Hospitality Technology" of their title year for the life of the product. All participants benefit because HTNG shares entrant information with the more than 800 hoteliers and industry consultants who can vote for the winners. HTNG announces the winners at its North American Conference, features winners in an HTNG press release and promotes them on HTNG's website.

The basic requirements to participate are.

  • Eligible products must have been released for sale in 2013 (products offered as early as Oct. 1, 2012 are eligible) and entrants must be members of HTNG to participate.
  • Entrants must submit an entry form by January 28 and pay the entry fee by January 31.
  • Entrants must submit a summary of the entry's innovative nature (no more than 100 words) and art for a display board with text and graphics to promote the technology's merits for the title by February 7, 2014.
