12th Global Lodging Forum

For the second year in a row, Ibis was rewarded for the dynamic growth of its hotel infrastructure in Europe at the 18th Global Lodging Forum where it received the Development Trophy. At the gala evening event of the Global Lodging Forum, organized in the rooms of the Bristol Hotel in Paris, the Accor Group, through its "megabrand" Ibis was distinguished once again for the breadth of its development in Europe.

The brand, which now includes Ibis Hotels, Ibis Styles, and Ibis Budget, added more

than 3,700 rooms net in 2013 for growth in its supply by more than 3% in one year, to reach 125,630 rooms on January 1, 2014.

Symbolically the 1,000th Ibis Hotel in the world was inaugurated in Berlin, marking the

reinforcement of its presence in Europe. It also marks the megabrand's passing the benchmark of 1,700 hotels.

The Development Trophy, based on data from MKG Hospitality, was presented during

the Global Lodging Forum by MKG Group. Peter Verhoeven, the current General manager and COO Western Europe for the Accor Group (former General Manager Ibis for Europe) and Dominique Ozanne, General Manager of Foncière des Murs received it in the company of Vanguelis Panayotis, Development Director of MKG Group.
