Local Amsterdam hotel receives international award in London

The annual Hotel Stars Awards were recently held in London and at this annual event, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) recognised hotels and people for their outstanding performance and contribution to the business and the local community in which they operate. The winners are the best performing IHG hotels and individuals across Europe.

The winners are the best performing IHG hotels and individuals across Europe.

At the awards ceremony Crowne Plaza Amsterdam – South located in Amsterdam was awarded the Best Hotel of Europe of the Year award, the IHG Green Engage award and the HeartBeat Excellence award.

HeartBeat Excellence Award

The HeartBeat Excellence Award recognises hotels that excel in delivering the best guest experience and satisfaction.

Hotel of the Year Award
This category recognises hotels that have achieved outstanding results and have gone the extra mile to exceed expectations and bring their brand to life when looking after guests, employees and the local community.

IHG® Green Engage Award
This award acknowledges the hotel that has made a significant contribution to improving the environment through reducing energy, water and waste and innovating new and more sustainable ways to operate.
