Seoul -- The Shilla Hotels & Resorts' premium business brand, Shilla Stay, will unveil its latest location in Gwanghwamun, Seoul's cultural, historical and business hub.

Of historical significance, Gwanghwamun is the main gate of Gyeongbukgung Palace and a designated national treasure. Shilla Stay Gwanghwamun hosted its official opening today.

Comprising 339 guestrooms, guests can choose from three room categories – a comfortable Standard Room, relaxing Deluxe Room, or luxurious Grand Room. Focused on comfort and convenience, all guestrooms feature 100% Hungarian goose-down bedding and Aveda bathroom amenities.

Centrally located within a 10-minute walk from three different subway lines - Line 1 (Jonggak), Line 5 (Gwanghwamun) and Line 3 (Anguk) - Shilla Stay Gwanghwamun has easy access to Seoul's business centre and many of the city's tourist hotspots, making it an ideal choice for business and leisure travellers.

The hotel is close to culturally significant attractions such as the Seoul City Hall, Gyeonghui Palace, Jongmyo Shrine and Gwangjang Market. Guests can also visit the nearby Gwanghwamun Plaza, a public space developed by the Seoul Metropolitan Government that is a popular location for filming and features in many Korean blockbusters.

Like other hotels within the Shilla Stay brand, Shilla Stay Gwanghwamun's interiors are designed by Italian architect Piero Lissoni, and reflect his signature minimalist style. Contemporary and elegant, the chic furnishings and curated accessories enhance the residential mood, designed to meet the expectations of even the most discerning traveller.

Boasting all the essential amenities for today's business travellers, the hotel features a spacious lobby with a bar for relaxed casual meetings and a business corner where guests can stay connected while working away from the office. There are also four function rooms available with a total capacity of up to 80 persons. The well-equipped fitness center on the eighth floor lets hotel guests enjoy their work out with stunning city views.

The convivial 108-seat restaurant "Café", which boasts its own outdoor terrace, provides a tempting breakfast buffet as well as a semi-buffet brunch, and transforms into a relaxing lounge bar in the evenings for guests to wind down after a productive day with wine, beer and snacks.

To mark its opening, Shilla Stay Gwanghwamun is offering a special package available from December 22, 2015 to January 31, 2016. Guests visiting the hotel during this period will receive a Shilla Stay Bear, complimentary breakfast for two, free Wi-Fi and access to the fitness centre. Room rate per night is KRW 150,000 (blackout dates apply).
