Tokyo -- On July 1st, leading Japanese hotelier Fujita Kanko Inc. opens Hotel Gracery Kyoto Sanjo North, a moderately-priced new hotel in Kyoto, the ancient capital of Japan and a highly popular tourist destination.

Centrally located in the Teramachi Kyogoku shopping arcade, a covered historical street lined with long-established family stores, the newly-built 97-room hotel provides an ideal base for visitors exploring Kyoto with easy access to numerous historical monuments and tourist attractions. The hotel is located a few subway stops away from Kyoto JR station, the main entry point for Kyoto, or fifteen minutes by taxi.

The hotel emphasizes concierge service with designated well-trained staff who can provide local information and assistance with various activities for international visitors. Spacious guest rooms all have separate toilets/bathrooms for additional comfort and the hotel's restaurant serves breakfast using local ingredients.

Honoring that Kyoto is also the birthplace of Kabuki, the 500-year old classic Japanese theatre involving elaborate costumes, makeup and an exaggerated style of acting and dance with music, the hotel has created a one-of-a-kind, Kabuki-themed room. Designed after a traditional Kabuki theater with colorful yet intricate paintings on the walls and ceilings, and furnished with back-stage like furniture, traditional lanterns and ornaments, guests are transported to the world of Kabuki giving them a magical cultural experience. Guests staying at the Kabuki room also receive special amenities.

The two hotels are constructed in adjacent lots, strategically complementing each other.
