The Emirate hopes for 35.9 million nights in 2018, which would represent annual growth by +10.8% over 2015. According to Dubai Tourism, the hotel supply could reach 134,000 rooms by the end of 2018. The city's tourism authorities are counting on the development of the local airlines Emirates and flydubai, as well as on an increase in the length of stay of visitors to reach 4 days on an average. Preparations for Expo 2020 also go hand in hand with a diversification of the city's tourism supply with the creation of cultural institutions, theme parks, and other entertainment infrastructures.
