trivago Reveals The Best Hotels in the U.S.
The trivago Awards 2017 celebrate America’s best properties

For the very first time trivago.com reveals the best hotels in the United States — based entirely on guest reviews. Chosen for their outstanding customer service, ranking, and performance, the trivago Awards 2017 recognize the 10 best properties in America in four different categories; 5-Star, 4-Star, 3-Star, and Alternative Accommodation.
How did trivago choose these properties? We didn't.
With user ratings gathered from 34 hotel, booking, and review sites across the web, we've crafted a comprehensive, transparent, unbiased index for hotel ratings that we call the trivago Rating Index (tRI).* A perfect tRI score is 100%, and is simply a compilation of all reviews and ratings of each property. Only the highest-rated hotels with prices on trivago.com and at least 150 tRI ratings and reviews made the lists.
Johannes Thomas, Managing Director at trivago said: "We aggregate and analyze more than 175 million hotel reviews from websites all over the world. This gives us strong insights into what hotels are particularly good at." He added: "Our trivago awards recognize those hoteliers who deliver an exceptional experience to their guests, and we are proud and delighted to award those achievements."

Best 5-Star Hotels
The elegant Langham Hotel in Chicago is the best 5-Star hotel in the U.S. according to their guests' online reviews, followed by Napa Valley's elegant spa retreat, the Bardessono, and the Fairmont Grand Del Mar in sunny San Diego. With hotels from across the country making our 5-Star list (below), there's something for everyone's budget, taste, and destination of choice.
Best 4-Star Hotels
Southern charm and their famed hospitality propelled Charleston's French Quarter Inn to the top of the list of the best 4-Star hotels in America. Convenience and great service are what put Woolley's Classic Suites near Denver in second place, and Key West's Marquesa Hotel tipped the scales as the third place winner in the 4-Star hotel category.
Best 3-Star Hotels
Planning to cash in on your hotel rewards? The first and second place winners in the 3-Star hotel category are the Hampton Inn & Suites St Louis – South I-55 and Tennessee's Drury Plaza Hotel Franklin, who are respectively wowing their guests. Thanks to unrivaled views of Utah and personalized service, guests awarded the Inn on the Cliff in St. George as their third place choice of America's best 3-Star hotels.
