Rechartered: HTNG's GDPR for Hospitality Workgroup

HTNG has rechartered its GDPR for Hospitality Workgroup to build upon the group's White Paper and Self-Assessment outputs produced in Q1 of 2018. The group's previous work included key considerations, use cases and impacts of the European Union (EU) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in hospitality.

The workgroup will now focus on developing:

• Standard operating procedures for front line staff to address guest requests related to GDPR
• Checklists or guidance covering:
  • Model clauses
  • Contractual guidance for data controller/processor agreements
  • Legitimate interest/contractual necessity
  • Data retention
  • Audit procedures
• Business process data flows

The kickoff teleconference for HTNG's GDPR for Hospitality Workgroup will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 8:00 a.m. CST.
