Plum, the first wine by the glass technology revolutionizing the hospitality industry, today announced 11 units were deployed at The Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake, Ohio's Wine Country Resort. They have implemented two units in Horizons Restaurant & Lounge, one in the gift shop, seven in their suite products, and one portable unit for meetings and events.

It's no secret that travel trends are moving toward authentic, local experiences. The Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake, nestled in the heart of Ohio Wine Country, provides guests with a unique opportunity to sample the vintages of local wineries, right where they're staying. Plum is a hotel F&B Manager's dream come true. When it comes to providing a heightened and unrivaled wine experience, Plum surpasses outdated in-room beverage services. It pierces any enclosure, whether natural cork, artificial cork, engineered cork, even metal screw caps. Coined the Nespresso™ of wine, Plum holds two standard bottles and pressurizes each bottle with argon gas, protecting the flavor and aroma profile for up to 90 days. The seven-inch touchscreen with integrated speaker, serves as a virtual tasting room, providing guests with imagery of the wineries along with tasting notes. Cloud technology allows management to set pricing, bill guests when a glass is poured and automatically alert housekeeping when a bottle needs to be replaced. With Plum, hotels have the ability to rotate through the season's favorites, promote local varieties throughout the year, or curate a wine selection based on a VIP guest's preference. All of these qualities impress the guest, improve the work of in-house sommeliers, reduce staff demands, and on top of that, open up new revenue streams for hoteliers.
