Tucker, GA - Hospitality International, a recognized leader in franchising of conversion and new build hotels for economy lodging, today announced Chris Guimbellot as the new President and Chief Executive Officer.

Guimbellot has spent his entire career in hospitality beginning with Hospitality International in 2000 in the Reservations department before moving on to Director of Marketing and eventually Vice President in charge of operations. In 2010, he left to purchase a digital marketing agency in New York, which helps hotels increase revenues through direct bookings and guest engagement. In 2014 he joined the Hospitality International Board of Directors.

Guimbellot succeeds Jim Bloodworth, who held the post for the past eight years.

"I am excited and humbled by the opportunity to lead the company so near and dear to my heart and work with the incredible team created by Jim Bloodworth. I look to build upon his legacy through new initiatives including the expansion of our AMP program and focusing on aggressive brand development. We will also increase consumer-facing advertising, bringing our brands out of the shadows and make them more prominent in the minds of the traveling consumer. My goal is to provide more revenue to our franchisees to help them accomplish their goals. However, one thing will remain the same, which is our commitment to maintaining personal relationships with our franchisees, something that I believe is an advantage not found in other brands."
