Tracy Uphold Joins Newport Hospitality Group, Inc, as Vice President of Revenue Generation
Williamsburg, VA - Newport Hospitality Group Inc., (NHG), a leading hotel management company is pleased to announce the appointment of Tracy Uphold to the newly created position of Vice President of Revenue Generation.
According to Wayne West, III, President, “In order to better serve our clients in a world driven by technology and being reshaped by online distribution channels, we have unified our revenue management, ecommerce, sales and marketing teams. This will enable Newport to continue delivering profitable results to our clients in an ever-changing marketplace by bringing all revenue generating disciplines under this newly created position.”
Tracy brings 30 plus years of sales, marketing and revenue management experience with both branded and boutique hotels. Her strengths include the ability to assess and manage geographic regions with various market conditions and an ability to deliver positive revenue and market share results.
Tracy has directed revenue teams across virtually all segments of hospitality, including full-service, select-service, extended stay, and independent hotels. Revenue generation responsibilities include leadership of the rate strategy committee, working with property management on pricing and guiding the sales and marketing teams. To accomplish her mission, Tracy will work with on and offsite personnel to focus their analytic and qualitative efforts on maximizing hotel inventory within its market demand cycle.
Tracy attended Mercyhurst University and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management.
