M� venpick Adds More Top Locations
The brand accelerates its development with openings and signings around the world, its arrival in Australia and the introduction of Mövenpick Living in the residential and long-stay segment in Europe.
Since 1940 Mövenpick has been breathing the extra into the ordinary by taking special care over those little everyday things that make all the difference. Despite the current crisis, Mövenpick goes from strength to strength with new openings and the signing up of 10 hotels around the world, including 6 in Europe. Among the brand's future European destinations: Basel, Istanbul, Brussels, Split, etc. In 2021, the brand will also arrive in Australia for the first time with the opening of the Mövenpick Hotel Hobart in Tasmania.

Mövenpick's 1st property in Australia
Slated to open in mid-January, Mövenpick Hotel Hobart will be located on Elizabeth Street in Hobart, the capital of Tasmania. Its 221 rooms will offer breathtaking panoramic views thanks to its location close to the bustling waterfront and city center. With its flexible function space, modern gym, Italian restaurant… The hotel will offer the best of Swiss hospitality to travelers from all over the world. The brand's famous "Chocolate Hour" will welcome them every afternoon for gourmet discoveries.
2020: Unforgettable openings, including...
The Mövenpick Hotel The Hague has been welcoming travelers in the heart of The Hague (Netherlands) since last June. 72 bedrooms in a luxurious downtown style, a By NOA restaurant, café, wine lounge, gym, 3 meeting rooms and an outdoor terrace with a spectacular view of the Noordeinde Palace… The new European flagship is the ideal locus between a stroll along the Scheveningen beach front and window shopping in the historic center.
Located within the capital's Garden Ring, the Mövenpick Moscow Taganskaya (Russia) opened its doors last August. It has 154 comfortable rooms boasting a fresh and contemporary style, with some offering panoramic views of the city. 2 hotel rooms have been fully equipped for guests with special mobility needs. On the culinary side, the Shagal offers traditional Swiss cuisine, restyled local dishes and, of course, the famous Mövenpick ice cream.
These hotels are labelled ALLSAFE, the Group's cleanliness and prevention label incorporating the most rigorous cleaning standards and operational protocols in the hospitality world.
Mövenpick Living hits Europe
Mövenpick Living arrives in the area for the 1st time. The premium residential brand is part of the Accor portfolio in the extended stay segment, combining the comfort and privacy of home, with hotel services on top. Guests can book their prepped facilities for up to 120 days in a row. The first 2 European Mövenpick Living hotels were signed in 2020.
The Mövenpick Istanbul (Turkey) will be the 1st brand hotel in Europe. This site, planned for 2021, will offer spacious apartments with 1, 2 and 3 beds, a sky villa and a garden villa with outdoor terrace, swimming pool, gym and spa with hammam and sauna, as well as a restaurant.
At Disentis (Switzerland), Mövenpick Living number two is part of a project that also includes a new Mövenpick hotel planned for early 2024. With 91 apartments as well as 150 rooms, this site will be located in the center of the upscale ski resort in the canton of Graubünden. The project will include 6 buildings with restaurants, bar, breakfast areas, children's play area, spa, etc.
