AJ Capital Partners Announces Acquisition of the Adelphi Portrush Hotel in Northern Ireland

London – Adventurous Journeys (AJ) Capital Partners announced today the acquisition of the Adelphi Portrush Hotel in Portrush, Northern Ireland. The property will join Marine & Lawn Hotels & Resorts, a collection of bespoke hotels located in the world’s most premier golf destinations. The hotel will continue to operate as Adelphi Portrush Hotel in its current condition through the Autumn of 2023, at which time comprehensive guest room and common space renovations will begin. The hotel is expected to relaunch as part of the Marine & Lawn Hotels & Resorts collection in late 2024.

Nestled in the heart of Portrush, the hotel is an ideal destination for golfers visiting Royal Portrush Golf Club and is positioned just one hour from Belfast. Royal Portrush previously hosted the 1951 and 2019 Open Championships and was recently announced as host of the 2025 Open. Ranked the eighth best golf course in the world by Golf Digest and the second best on the island of Ireland, Royal Portrush is a classic links course and home to some of the most magnificent ocean views in the game. Adelphi Portrush Hotel will be the sixth property in the Marine & Lawn collection, joining Rusacks St Andrews in St Andrews, Scotland; Marine North Berwick in North Berwick, Scotland; Marine Troon in Troon, Scotland; Slieve Donard in Newcastle, County Down in Northern Ireland; and Dornoch Station Hotel in Dornoch, Scotland.
