Over 40,000 lives improved across South East Asia through IHG’s community partnerships

After decades of supporting communities across South East Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts has published its inaugural South East Asia Communities Report, to celebrate the partnerships it has forged to help improve thousands of lives across the region.

  • Across South East Asia, 40,947 lives were impacted by IHG’s community activities in 2023
  • As part of its Journey to Tomorrow responsible business plan, IHG has committed to improve the lives of 30 million people in its communities around the world

Singapore – After decades of supporting communities across South East Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts has published its inaugural South East Asia Communities Report, to celebrate the partnerships it has forged to help improve thousands of lives across the region.

It’s not just about the numbers. The report shines a light on some of the transformational activities delivered in local communities, and the inspiring stories of the partners involved. By sharing those stories, IHG hopes to affect even greater change this year and beyond.

Across the region, IHG works with wonderful partners such as Saab Shares in Indonesia, SURI in Malaysia, Project Pearls in the Philippines, APSN in Singapore, Steps in Thailand, Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation and VietHarvest in Vietnam, among many other community partners. Skills training, supporting the environment and food security are the top focus areas for activities that colleagues support across the region.

At IHG, we want to be a force for good and caring for our people and communities are key global priorities. Our teams have put in time, skills and energy to work with partners on transformational community projects that they are most passionate about. And what an impact. In 2023, we have improved the lives of over 40,000 people across South East Asia.
