Barcelona Room Rates Jumped in March
Barcelona’s hotel industry recorded its highest-ever March average daily rate (ADR), with one night during the Mobile World Congress reaching the second-highest individual level in the market’s history, according to preliminary data from CoStar. March 2025 (year-over-year % change):
- Occupancy: 77.3% (+2.2%)
- ADR: EUR197.09 (+27.7%)
- RevPAR: EUR152.42 (+30.5%)
Year-over-year performance gains for the month were elevated by the Mobile World Congress, which took place between 3-6 March at the Fira de Barcelona convention center. Each of the key performance metrics peaked on Monday the 3rd: occupancy (95.3%), ADR (EUR436.42) and RevPAR (EUR415.73).
Only 24 February 2020 recorded a higher ADR in the market’s history.
The occupancy level during this year’s MWC was also the highest in Barcelona since October 2024, pushing RevPAR to an all-time daily high for the market.
Occupancy remained above 70% in all but five days during the month.
