RODNEY BAY, SAINT LUCIA — Bay Gardens Resorts, a locally owned and managed Saint Lucian hotel group, has contributed US$5,000 to the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association's (CHTA) "One Caribbean" Solidarity Initiative, supporting Jamaica's ongoing recovery from the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa.
Striking the island in October 2025, Hurricane Melissa caused widespread damage across key tourism regions, impacting infrastructure, small businesses, and the livelihoods of thousands who depend on the sector.
The "One Caribbean" pledge program invited hotels and tourism service providers across the region to contribute a set amount from bookings, channeling the collective generosity of the Caribbean's hospitality sector toward a shared cause. Funds raised through the initiative are directed specifically toward small and independent tourism businesses, community-based operators, and workforce recovery needs in Jamaica, the segments most acutely impacted by the storm's aftermath.
For Bay Gardens Resorts, participation in the initiative reflects a long-held belief that the Caribbean's strength lies in its unity. As an independently owned group built on authentic hospitality and deep community ties, Bay Gardens recognizes that the resilience of any one Caribbean destination is inextricably linked to the resilience of the region.
The donation adds to a growing pool of regional contributions mobilized under the "One Caribbean" banner, drawing support from hotels, tour operators, and hospitality businesses across multiple Caribbean territories.
Bay Gardens Resorts continues to welcome guests to its four properties in the heart of Rodney Bay, Saint Lucia, and remains committed to the responsible, community-rooted approach to hospitality that has defined the group since its founding.
