Pair of events highlighted growth month for Adelaide hotels
Adelaide hotels hit a record August RevPAR of AUD139.13, up 7.3% year-over-year, driven by a Clash Tribute concert and the Day Hospitals Australia National Conference.
Thanks largely to two events, Adelaide’s hotel industry posted its highest August revenue per available room on record, according to preliminary data from CoStar, a global leading provider of online real estate marketplaces, information, and analytics in the property markets.
August 2026 (year-over-year % change):
Occupancy: 72.4% (+1.8%)
Average daily rate (ADR): AUD192.16 (+5.4%)
Revenue per available room (RevPAR): AUD139.13 (+7.3%)
In addition to the RevPAR high, Adelaide’s occupancy was its highest for an August since 2019.
On Saturday, 22 August, London Calling (UK) performed at The Gov as part of their ‘Clash Tribute’ tour, driving Adelaide's performance to monthly highs in each of the three key performance metrics: occupancy (86.8%), ADR (AUD217.70) and RevPAR (AUD189.03).
Adelaide also hosted Day Hospitals Australia National Conference between 25-27 August, which pushed occupancy to 84.3% on the second night. ADR and RevPAR on the first night of the conference came in at AUD216.19 and AUD181.75, respectively.
