Mandarin Oriental's curated collection of the world's finest private vacation homes announces a significant expansion, welcoming twelve homes to its global portfolio, now comprising 43 Exceptional Homes across 18 sought-after destinations. These additions mark an important milestone in the evolution of the collection, introducing Lopud, Porto Heli, Florence, Chianti, Sardinia and Marbella as entirely new locations, alongside further expansion in Puglia and the French Riviera.
The expansion introduces Mandarin Oriental to Lopud, Croatia and Porto Heli, Greece for the first time. Florence joins the collection with Villa Petrucci and Dimora Ghirlandaio. Villa Petrucci is an elegant private retreat set within the historic Renaissance city, framing sweeping views across Florence. The villa combines cultural immersion with discreet luxury, with interiors completed following a five-year restoration led by acclaimed architect and designer Massimo Adario. Complementing this, Dimora Ghirlandaio is nestled in the rolling Tuscan hills of Impruneta, and offers an immersive blend of artistic heritage, original pietra serena and terracotta interiors, and panoramic views across Florence's iconic skyline and Chianti hills. Completing the collection in Tuscany, Il Cellese is set within a private Chianti estate, combining traditional stone architecture, vineyard views, and understated Italian elegance.
The expansion also includes Villa Ada and Villa Marzia in Sardinia, rare beachfront properties with direct coastal access and uninterrupted sea views on one of the Mediterranean's most sought-after islands.
In southern Italy, the portfolio further strengthens its presence in Puglia with the addition of two authentic trulli, Trullo delle Dame and Trullo dei Pumi. Each has been thoughtfully restored to honour the region's architectural heritage while delivering contemporary comfort and privacy.
Marbella remains a key growth destination for the collection, marked by the introduction of seven new, design-led villas. Each property has been curated for its refined aesthetic and its expression of modern Andalusian living. Among the new additions are villas set in La Zagaleta and Nueva Andalucía's Golf Valley, including frontline positions overlooking the prestigious Las Brisas Golf Club.
Expanding further into Asia, Tatvani in Chiang Rai introduces an entirely private estate set within the lush landscapes of northern Thailand, where a collection of teak-crafted villas is immersed in rice fields and mountain scenery, offering a deeply personalised retreat defined by nature, cultural immersion, and complete seclusion.
Each Mandarin Oriental Exceptional Home is individually and privately owned and has been meticulously selected for its desirable location, design, and ability to deliver Mandarin Oriental's legendary service, including a dedicated concierge to curate tailored itineraries, a private chef service to craft bespoke menus, daily housekeeping, and luxurious amenities.
This latest expansion reflects Mandarin Oriental Exceptional Homes' ambitious growth strategy, with continued focus on broadening its geographic reach while maintaining an uncompromising approach to quality and service for today's discerning traveller.
As the portfolio evolves, our focus remains on purposeful growth; introducing new destinations that broaden our global reach while preserving the intimacy, discretion and exceptional service our guests expect. This next phase reflects both the strength of the collection and our ambition for its continued expansion.
