NH Hoteles Consolidates Presence in America With NH Bogota 93 In Colombia

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mariano Pérez Claver, Chairman of NH Hoteles, explained the Group's strategic targeting of this market by stating that "unlike other economic cycles, the Americas seem to be immune to the negative effects of this one, which are affecting Western economies". Pérez Claver stressed that "all of the countries where we operate on this continent are experiencing continuous growth with excellent results". Referring to the Colombian market, he indicated that opening the first NH in Bogota is a response to hotel demand in one of the most important financial centres in America. "Colombia is also hugely appealing for tourists due to its cultural diversity and we therefore plan to expand our business to its main cities", stressed the NH Hoteles Chairman.

IHG Opens First Holiday Inn Hotel in Colombia

The new-build, eight-story Holiday Inn Bogota-Airport features 191 rooms and is located within ten minutes of El Dorado International Airport. Situated within the vibrant neighborhood of El Salitre, one of Bogota's most important and modern business districts, the property is part of a mixed-use complex called Centro Empresarial Arrecife (Arrecife Corporate Center) and near the Corferias Convention Center, the United States Embassy, Bogota's main industrial park and downtown Bogota. The Holiday Inn Bogota-Airport, located at Avenida Calle 26 #69-D-91 in Bogota, is owned by Alianza Fiduciaria S.A., under a franchise agreement with a company in the InterContinental Hotels Group. The hotel will be operated by METRO hotels on behalf of Alianza Fiduciaria S.A.

IHG Signs Agreement for New Holiday Inn Hotel in Bogotá, Colombia

The Holiday Inn Bogotá-Airport is the third signing of an IHG-flagged property in Colombia in the last six months; the other two being the InterContinental Cartagena and the Holiday Inn Cartagena. When open, it will be IHG's eighth hotel in Colombia.

JW Marriott Bogota Celebrates Grand Opening - Marriott's First Luxury Hotel in Colombia

Marriott International, Inc. officially opened the company's first JW Marriott luxury hotel today in Bogota, Colombia. On-hand for the celebration were President Alvaro Uribe of Colombia, Rob Steigerwald, chief operations officer for the Southern region of the Americas for Marriott International and Ricardo Poma, president of Real Hotels & Resorts and Grupo Poma. The 264-room JW Marriott Bogota is operated under a franchise agreement with Real Hotels & Resorts of El Salvador.
