Marcus Hanna has been appointed as General Manager at Sofitel Brisbane Central

Previously the General Manager for Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach, Hanna brings a wealth of experience to Brisbane’s largest luxury property with previous appointments in London, Malta and San Francisco. Prior to his move to Queensland, Marcus oversaw the opening of Pullman Sydney Olympic Park, the first property of its type in the Pacific. An avid rower, Hanna has represented Australia at the world rowing championships; and is looking forward to returning to the water in Brisbane, where he was a member of the Australian rowing squad in the early 90’s. Marcus will relocate to Brisbane with his wife Kelly and young son Daniel.

Tony Chisholm has been appointed as General Manager at Sofitel Brisbane Central

Sofitel Luxury Hotels has also appointed Tony Chisholm to the position of General Manager for Sofitel Brisbane Central, effective early April 2010. Mr Chisholm comes to Brisbane from Vietnam where he was joint General Manager of both the Sofitel Dalat Palace and Novotel Dalat (now rebranded Mercure Dalat), as well as Club Coordinator for the Dalat Palace Golf Club. Since moving to Dalat in January 2008 he proved instrumental in improving the image and luxury repertoire for both Dalat properties and will bring a wealth of hospitality experience to Sofitel Brisbane Central.
