Christopher Zarek has been appointed as General Manager at AC Hotel Chicago Downtown

Chris Zarek has been appointed general manager of the AC Hotel Chicago Downtown. Prior to this position, he served as general manager of the Hilton Minneapolis/Bloomington hotel. Zarek joined Marcus Hotels & Resorts in 2008 as human resources director at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center. He has held several leadership roles within the company, including regional HR director for Milwaukee, director of food and beverage at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center and director of operations at the Skirvin Hilton Hotel in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Marlene Poynder has been appointed as General Manager at Waldorf Astoria Chicago

The Hilton Chicago/Oak Brook Hills Resort & Conference Center has announced the appointment of Erica Tomei as Pastry Chef. In her new role, Tomei will head dessert and bakery operations for the resorts catering functions, restaurant outlets and retail shops. The winner of the American Culinary Federations 2014 wedding cake competition makes Oak Brook Hills a one-stop-shop for house-made wedding cakes, pastries and oth er baked specialties, something few hotel kitchens can offer.

Jermaine Anderson has been appointed as Hotel Manager at LondonHouse Chicago

Jermaine Anderson, has been named Hotel Manager for LondonHouse Chicago a luxury lifestyle hotel located at the corner of North Michigan Avenue and Wacker Drive. It is set to open spring of 2016 in Chicago's iconic London Guarantee Building along with a new 22-story architecturally synchronized modernist glass tower according to George Jordan, Senior Vice President of Operations for Oxford Hotels & Resorts. In his new role, Anderson will oversee day-to-day operations, marketing and sales, and will manage an expected team of over 250 employees for the 452-room property. It will feature nearly 25,000 sq. ft. of meeting and event space, a tri-level rooftop lounge, spa, fitness center and more. The hotel is being developed by Oxford Capital Group, LLC and is owned by an Oxford led venture with Angelo, Gordon & Co. Dieter Heigl has been appointed as Director of Operations at The JW Marriott Chicago

Dieter Heigl has spent the last four years at the Chicago Marriott O'Hare Hotel where he served as the general manager. He lead the 470 room hotel's $40 million renovation including the conversion of the public space and restaurant to new great room concepts, conversion of two restaurants to a new ballroom and meeting room, and more. Additionally, Dieter brings a wealth of knowledge to the JW Marriott Chicago culinary team with his past experience as a director of food & beverage, restaurants and as a past executive chef at hotels around the world including the San Juan Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino, Amsterdam Marriott Hotel, and Boston Marriott Copley Resort.

Marie Parodi has been appointed as Spa Director at JW Marriott Chicago

Marie Parodi joins the JW Marriott Chicago as director of the Spa at JW Chicago opening this July. She comes from The Spa at Williams Island Club in Miami where she served as the spa director for the past five years. While responsible for the spa operations she additionally oversaw the spa's renovation project including construction and design. In addition, she worked at other spas throughout Miami and Fort Lauderdale including Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa, The Spa – Equinox, The Spa – The Shore Club and Noble House Hotels & Resorts – SpaTerre.
