Michael Schmid has been appointed as General Manager at Andaz Peninsula Papagayo

A native of Switzerland and raised in Latin America, General Manager, Michael Schmid has been instrumental in defining and establishing the Andaz concept playing an integral role with the brand's first hotel at Andaz Liverpool Street London. During his 13 years in the international hospitality industry, Mr. Schmid has been responsible for overseeing the direction and operation of some of Hyatt's most well-known properties. Mr. Schmid has previously held positions as Hotel Manager at Grand Hyatt São Paulo; Director of Food & Beverage for Park Hyatt Moscow; Assistant Director of Food & Beverage at Park Hyatt Zurich; Department Head at Four Seasons Hotel Chicago; and Banquet/Restaurant Manager at Four Seasons Hotel Berlin.
