Locanda La Raia Reopens for Spring 2026 with New Borgo Apartments, Inviting Guests for a Gavi Countryside Immersion in Rural Italy

Locanda La Raia, the biodynamic winery and boutique hotel in Piedmont, Italy, has officially reopened, welcoming guests back for a new season in the rolling hills of Gavi, in Lower Piedmont. Set within the biodynamic 200-hectare estate of La Raia, where vineyards, woods, lakes, gardens and farmland form a singular ecosystem, the reopening marks a new chapter for the estate’s hospitality offering with the expansion of Borgo de La Raia: an ancient rural hamlet carefully restored in 2024 into a space for hospitality, and now further developed with the addition of two new apartments, Ape Regina and La Villa, introducing a more residential style of stay.

Locanda La Raia Welcomes Again Guests

Locanda La Raia, a 12-room stylish pastoral retreat located in the Piedmont region of Northern Italy, announces its official reopening for the Spring/Summer 2021 season. Located on the lush 180-hectare La Raia Estate in Italy's verdant Gavi Hills, the expansive property comprises Locanda La Raia, Fondazione La Raia, and the expansive Demeter-certified biodynamic winery and farm. Following the lifting of travel restrictions by the Italian Ministry of Health, the property reopens with new packages and experiences that highlight the best of the estate's picturesque and relaxing facilities, wine experiences, and gardens, hyper-local culinary offerings, and rich cultural heritage.
