Steigenberger Grandhotel & Spa Petersberg shines in new splendour after complete renovation

The reopening of a myth with a fascinating history: celebrities from politics, business and society were present when the "Gästehaus Petersberg" near Bonn reopened its doors on Monday. In his address to 600 invited guests, Heiko Maas, Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs, underlined the historical significance of the location. Over the past three decades, hundreds of heads of state have visited the Petersberg: Bill Clinton, Nelson Mandela, and the  Dalai Lama.  The name 'Petersberg' stands for a German diplomacy that does not duck away from international responsibility. So it's no wonder that Petersberg has become an eponym time and again - and that it is the setting of the yearly Petersberg Climate Dialogue, a future-oriented topic that moves people in Germany and Europe like no other. Now a new chapter in the history of this place is opening.
