Stephen Morahan has been appointed as General Manager at Aloft Perth

Australia’s first hotel under the Aloft brand, Aloft Perth, is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Morahan as General Manager. Slated to open in August 2017, Aloft Perth will launch the brand into Australia with additional Aloft Hotels scheduled to open in Adelaide and Melbourne in 2019. Stephen began his career with Marriott International, which recently completed its merger transaction of Starwood Hotels & Resorts, in 2006 as Restaurant & Venue Manager for the recent Sheraton Noosa Resort and Spa, where he was responsible for overseeing the resort’s diverse mix of food and beverage venues. From there he went on to pursue various roles, including Banquet Manager at The Westin Sydney, Executive Assistant Manager of Food & Beverage at Sheraton on the Park, Sydney and Hotel Manager at The Westin Siray Bay Resort & Spa, Phuket.

Sean Marco has been named Executive Chef at Crown Towers Perth

Bringing two decades of global experience to his new role, Sean has already influenced hundreds of apprentices and chefs at Crown as Executive Sous Chef. Now he will lead a team of 120 chefs at Perth’s most prestigious hotel to deliver an unparalleled dining experience for local and international guests.The design of Crown Towers kitchens and equipment commenced in 2014, with Sean actively involved in developing the state-of-the-art facilities which will deliver a new level of efficiency and service quality. As part of the custom design, an elegant dining room has been situated in the heart of the banquets kitchen allowing clients of Crown Ballroom to receive a unique menu tasting experience. Seating up to 12 guests, the room features glass windows for guests to see the chefs at work.

Graeme Rutherford has been appointed as General Manager at Fraser Suites Perth

Having begun the role on 11 January, Graeme Rutherford has already been welcomed by the Frasers Hospitality team as the new General Manager for Fraser Suites Perth. With over 20 years of operational experience, and most recently holding GM positions within the Rydges Hotel Group, Graeme brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the five-star Perth property. Prior to moving to Perth five years ago, Graeme has worked all across Australia and New Zealand with tenures in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Rotorua.

Paul Rogers has been named General Manager at Metro Hotel Perth

Metro Hospitality Group has appointed Paul Rogers to the position of General Manager at the Metro Hotel located in Perth. Mr Rogers brings with him 25 years of international and domestic experience in the hospitality industry. In his new role, Mr Rogers is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the property, as well as identifying and capitalising on opportunities to grow the hotel’s leisure and corporate business. Prior to taking up this position, Mr Rogers was involved with Accor and Mirvac Hotels for 6.5 years in Vanuatu, Sydney & Perth. Mr Rogers has also previously operated his own award winning restaurant, Akudjura located in Kalgoorlie.
