Sven-ErikRichter has been appointed as Hotel Manager at Fairmont Mayakoba

Fairmont Mayakoba, the Riviera Maya resort recently named one of the “Top 50 Resorts in Mexico” by Condé Nast’s Traveler’s 2011 Readers Choice Awards, welcomes Sven-Erik Richter as Hotel Manager to its hotel management team. A veteran of the Fairmont Hotels & Resorts brand and other premier luxury hotels throughout the world, Richter brings over 14 years of experience in the hospitality industry. His most recent positions included Director of Operations at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle as well as the Fairmont Le Montreux Palace in Switzerland.

Morgans Hotel Group Announces a New Management Contract for Hotel Las Palapas in Playa del Carmen, Riviera Maya, Mexico

Morgans Hotel Group Co. today announced a management agreement for the Hotel Las Palapas, located in the vibrant Playa del Carmen resort area, which is owned by affiliates of Walton Street Capital (“Walton”). Morgans and Walton are already joint venture partners in the ownership of two other hotels - the Sanderson and St Martins Lane hotels in London.
