ALHI Expands Luxury Portfolio In Mexico: The Brand-New Grand Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta Accepted Into Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI)

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico's brand-new resort Grand Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta - All Inclusive Adults Only, which just opened in September 2015, has been accepted into the prestigious Membership portfolio of Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI). The elegant beachfront resort, which is a superb venue for meetings and incentive/recognition programs, is surrounded by the picturesque Sierra Madre Mountains and overlooks the deep blue Pacific. It becomes ALHI's first Member resort in Puerto Vallarta, located on Mexico's West Coast, and ALHI's sixth luxury resort in Mexico. David Gauna has been appointed as General Manager at CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort and Spa

Gauna began his Marriott career in 1996 as a housekeeping supervisor at the CasaMagna Marriott Cancun Resort. There, he held various positions including front office manager and director of room operations. Gauna moved on to resident manager of Los Suenos Marriott Ocean and Golf Resort in Costa Rica and then director of operations at the JW Marriott Mexico City, where his achievements and leadership helped him advance to general manager. In 2011, Gauna successfully opened the Courtyard by Marriott Mexico City Airport as general manager. In 2013, Gauna was awarded General Manager of the Year for the CALA Region as well as the Diamond General Manager Award for the Courtyard brand.

The "Beyond All-Inclusive, Beyond All Compare" Velas Resorts in Puerto Vallarta, Riviera Maya and Riviera Nayarit have once again been named among the best in the world in TripAdvisor's 2015 Travelers' Choice Awards. Grand Velas Riviera Maya won the group's highest distinction, named in the top 25 all-inclusive resorts in the world. Demetrio Maduro has been appointed as General Manager at CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort and Spa

CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort and Spa today announced the appointment of Demetrio Maduro as general manager. Maduro strengthens the resort team with nearly 30 years of hospitality management experience. He spent part of the early stages of his career from 1993 to1999 at CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta as the director of groups and conventions and his return to the resort comes with much anticipation. Maduro joins CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort and Spa after spending three years as general manager at Renaissance Caracas La Castellana Hotel. He has a strong understanding of multiple roles as he has achieved professional success with various positions at seven properties throughout Mexico and South America. These properties include Hotel Marriot Caesar Park Panamá in Panama City, Costa Rica Marriott Hotel, Los Sueños Marriott Ocean & Golf Resort, Panama Marriott Hotel, and JW Marriott Mexico City.

Pierre Yves Bonin Floret has been appointed General Manager of Casa Velas Hotel Boutique in Puerto Vallarta. He joins Velas Resorts from Dreams Villa Magna in Riviera Nayarit where he was Manager. Previously, he was General Manager of the Hacienda Hotel, Spa and Beach Club and Resident Manager of Summit Hotel’s Buenaventura Grand Hotel & Spa, both in Puerto Vallarta. His distinguished background also includes positions at leading restaurants in Mexico’s major resort areas, France and Tahiti and also as Executive Chef of Club Med in Cancun.
