Two General Managers working for Accor Hotels in North Queensland are effectively ‘swapping’ roles and cities this month, switching permanently between top jobs at the Mercure Townsville and Novotel Cairns Oasis Resort. James Murphy has been appointed General Manager of the Mercure Townsville, arriving from Novotel Cairns Oasis Resort where he has been General Manager since 2011.
