BENCHMARK®, a global hospitality company, has named Anthony Berkau general manager for Willows Lodge, a Gemstone Collection property located in Woodinville, Washington State's renowned wine country. Greg Champion, Benchmark's president & COO, made the announcement.
Tyler Alden is an expert on craft brew pairings and holds the title of Certified Cicerone, a certification program for beer similar to sommelier in the wine world. In August of 2013, he passed the rigorous three-day Advanced Sommelier exam by the Court of Master Sommeliers, Americas, adding his name to an elite list. Mr. Alden is a graduate of the University of Washington's Foster School of Business. He resides in Seattle.
Matt Hagerman was previously the successful general manager of The Woodmark Hotel, located in Kirkland, Washington. Mr. Hagerman was a key member of the opening management team for the luxurious and award-winning Hotel 1000, a Benchmark Personal Luxury Resorts & Hotels property. He also served as hotel manager for the acclaimed property. Earlier in his career he held positions within sales and operations for leading hospitality brands.
