The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company L.L.C. has signed a management agreement with Zhongda Zhongfanxin Proprietary Company Ltd, for The Ritz-Carlton, Xian, expected to open in 2018. Located in North West China, the city is one of China's Four Ancient Capitals, home to 13 imperial Chinese dynasties, which today still serves as the capital of its province, Shaanxi.
Shangri-La Hotel, Xian welcomes newly appointed Executive Chef Wei Bing Lim, who joins the hotel with distinct culinary mastery.
The Westin Xian has recently appointed Mr. Howard Kwok as Deputy General Manager. Prior to Westin, he was a manager at the Yungao Group, a real estate developer with projects in Xi’an, Lhasa and Shanghai. Howard began his career as an analyst in Morgan Stanley. He then became a consultant at McKinsey & Company in China. Howard received a Masters of Business Administration from Harvard Business School in Boston, U.S.A., and has also received a diploma in French Cuisine from the Cordon Bleu in Paris, France. Howard is a native of Hong Kong, and is fluent in Putonghua, Cantonese, English and French.
Dominic Brennan will report to Bruce McKenzie, senior vice president, Operations - Greater China and Mongolia. Dominic has a rich experience in hotel management, including commercial, operational, sales and marketing strategies, and revenue management. Mr. Bruce McKenzie said, “Working in the hotels for 37 years, Dominic Brannan will bring his rich experience and the unique perspective to Hilton Xi’an.
