Stephanie Heer has been appointed as Marketing Manager at Conrad Hotels & Resorts

Conrad Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of Stephanie Heer as Marketing Manager. Based in the Beverly Hills Office, Stephanie will be working with the Luxury & Lifestyle brand team to oversee all Brand Marketing for Conrad. Stephanie has worked in the luxury and lifestyle hospitality field for over four years and has worked in global sales for Starwood Hotels & Resorts, with her most recent role focused on marketing for the W hotel in Los Angeles. She brings a wealth of relevant experience to the role.

Patrik Hellstrand has been appointed as Director of Brand Standards and Operations at Conrad Hotels & Resorts

Conrad Hotels & Resorts welcomes the appointment of Patrik Hellstrand as Director of Brand Standards and Operations. He will provide operational support to the Conrad brand and further develop products and services.. Patrik has achieved a hospitality degree from Cornell University, New York, and a recent MBA from the University of Liverpool. In his previous roles, Patrik has worked within the ultra-luxury, luxury and premium segments of the cruise industry and in the past 10 years held a number of front-of-house and corporate management positions, most recently as Director of Hotel Operations for Princess Cruises.

Johanna Koch has been named Director of Sales and Marketing at The Ventana Inn & Spa

Prior to joining Ventana Inn & Spa, Koch, 37, served as marketing director for the San Luis Obispo County (Calif.) Visitors & Convention Bureau; marketing communications manager for Sea Island Resorts in Sea Island, Ga.; senior account executive for Hunter Public Relations-Special Events in Pebble Beach, Calif.; and public relations assistant and sales associate for Resort at Squaw Creek in Olympic Valley, Calif., at the foot of Squaw Valley USA. After hosting quiet couple retreats since its debut in 1975, the resort this year opened its doors for the first time to small meeting groups. A recent property-wide $18 million renovation at Ventana featured the addition of new meeting space, which now, according to Koch, allows the resort to serve as “a memorably tranquil setting and experience” for executive retreats, high-powered sales meetings and corporate strategy sessions for anywhere from 12 to 120 attendees. Koch attended college at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. She resides in Carmel.

Jimmy Palmer has been appointed as General Manager at The Fairmont San Francisco

Jimmy Palmer brings 15 years of experience in senior leadership roles at five-diamond and five-star hotels and resorts around the world to his new position as Hotel Manager of The Fairmont San Francisco, the flagship property for Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. Most recently, Palmer served as the Corporate Director of Rooms for Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in the Middle East, where unprecedented levels of luxury and guest service have created the seven-star distinction as the new gold standard of hospitality. While based in Dubai from 2007 through late-2008, Palmer authored 13 design briefs for new and rebranded properties in the Middle East and Africa. He also developed service standards for these premier hotels and resorts, with the firm belief that a hotel's most valuable asset is its people.

James Sheets has been appointed as Director of Business and Leisure Travel Sales at The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey

Sheets an 11 year veteran with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, joins the Marina del Rey team from The Ritz-Carlton Hotels of Atlanta, where he negotiated national corporate contracts and managed high-profile business relationships. During his tenure at The Ritz-Carlton Hotels of Atlanta, Sheets successfully managed an average of 90 national accounts, representing both the Buckhead and Downtown Atlanta hotels; an inventory of 997 keys. Sheets is also an ambassador of The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center and a certified speaker for the company. Prior to joining The Ritz-Carlton, Sheets held the rank of Platoon Sergeant in The United States Marine Corps. A native of North Carolina, Sheets attended Barton College and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Communications and the Arts.
