However, a recent push for pay transparency alongside the advent of quotas to increase representation in top management seem to indicate a possible paradigm shift in global perspective on the approaches to diversity in 2021. This panel will explore the role recruitment, culture, policy and history play in enabling equity across-the-board rather than just equal opportunity.Seeking to understand how companies and their leaders empower employees and break down barriers, this panel will explore the past, present and the future of inclusion.During the pandemic, many companies have set diversity aside. However, according to McKinsey & Co, teams composed of diverse perspectives and leadership excel at innovating during tough situations. As such, is diversity not more critical than ever? In 2010, five students from the Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne founded a small committee with a great purpose: to bring together established professionals and aspiring leaders of the hospitality industry to share ideas and knowledge which would accelerate progress in the industry.
