Citizenm Announces Plans For New Washington DC Hotel

citizenM, a Netherlands-based hotel company, is pleased to announce plans for the company"s first hotel in Washington, DC. A partnership with E Street Development Group LLC, CityPartners, and Potomac Investment Properties, the group will construct a new mixed-used property located at 555 E Street, SW that will be anchored by the Dutch hospitality firm"s hotel, one of several new properties the citizenM brand has in development in the US.

The new property, designed by FXFOWLE Architects (NYC) with interiors by concrete (Amsterdam), will feature two towers: one that will house the 252-room citizenM hotel, and another comprising 194 rental apartments, both sitting atop a retail base. In keeping with citizenM"s previous properties, the new DC location will deliver a luxury experience at affordable price points, and feature common spaces and amenities such as a living-room-style lobby, techsavvy conveniences, a selection of food & beverage offerings, open work space with complimentary use of Apple iMac computers & printing, state-of-the-art fitness area & yoga studio, and a sweeping rooftop space. Located in the Southwest sector of Washington, DC, the hotel will be conveniently positioned to numerous local attractions such as Capitol Hill, The Wharf, the White House, as well as several private and Smithsonian museums. The project will aim to achieve LEED Gold certification.
