"With the impressive tourism growth that Mexico has experienced in the last couple of years, we are honored to welcome the Hotel 1970 Posada Guadalajara to the Curio Collection by Hilton portfolio," said Mark Nogal, global head, Curio Collection by Hilton. "As our newest Curio Collection property in the country, joining The Fives Downtown Hotel & Residences, Curio Collection by Hilton, in Playa del Carmen, the hotel will satisfy the increasingly high demand from leisure and business travelers for a unique and authentic travel experience as we continue to expand in key markets such as Guadalajara."

Situated near the birthplace of tequila, Hotel 1970 Posada Guadalajara, Curio Collection by Hilton, recently completed a $6.5 million renovation, resulting in redesigned guest rooms and common areas as well as the addition of a Presidential Suite, business lounge, rooftop Sky Bar, firepit, café, fitness center and nine meeting spaces. The modern hotel boasts contemporary Mexican design with custom-made headboards crafted by local artisans and inspired by the state of Jalisco's handcrafting legacy, sepia photography of iconic venues throughout the city and quarry columns surrounding the main patio under a transparent dome.

Each guest room features distinct Molton Brown bathroom amenities, complimentary Wi-Fi, a 50-inch TV, dimmable lighting, an ergonomic workspace and rain showers. Guests longing for extended stays can choose between the presidential suite, studios and master suites, which offer full kitchenettes, living rooms and dining areas.

Travelers can discover the true flavors of Guadalajara through renowned Chef Alfonso "Poncho" Cadena's cuisine, inspired by local flavors, creativity, visual impact and respect for tradition. Jal by Hueso brings a new dining experience to Guadalajara with inventive and flavorful dishes that honor local ingredients such as the artisanal bread "bolillo" and "panela cheese", made only in Guadalajara. At the hotel's seventh-floor Sky Bar, those seeking a traditional Mexican experience can sip on tequila under the stars while enjoying a unique view of the city. For breakfast, guests can try one of the hand-made, locally grinded coffees at Café Don Luis including the Jalisco favorite "Café de Olla".
