IHG brings Crowne Plaza back to Port Moresby as an all-new residences offering

InterContinental
Designed to provide a home away from home for business and leisure travellers to Papua New Guinea, Crowne Plaza Residences Port Moresby will feature 54 elegantly-styled 2- and 3-bedroom units, as well as an all-day dining restaurant, bar, a gym, and meeting facilities.
With construction nearing completion, the leading upscale hotel will re-enter the market in July 2019. It will boast an enviable new address within the larger Nambawan Plaza Development in the CBD adjacent to Deloitte building, the city's newest, ultra-modern prime office complex with breath-taking views across the harbour.
In recent years Port Moresby has been economically booming, with a substantial growth in construction of housing, office towers, shopping malls and commercial establishments. Its waterfront area has been completely redeveloped with apartments, restaurants and shopping centres, and sporting facilities were upgraded significantly for the 2015 South Pacific Games and the 2016 FIFA Under-20 Women's World Cup. A large Convention Centre was built and the Jacksons International Airport was redeveloped in 2018.
Port Moresby is the largest city in Papua New Guinea, and the largest city in the South Pacific, outside of Australia and New Zealand, with a population of more than 450,000 and growing quickly. It's the main point of entry into PNG for air-traffic and most of the boat-traffic.
