Only a block away from the L'Enfant Plaza Metro station and a couple blocks from the Federal Center SW Metro station, there are plans for a brand new 252-room hotel, called citizenM. With a delivery slated for 2020, this will be the Netherlands-based hotel company's first location in Washington, D.C.
The location will be at 555 E Street SW in a new mixed-use development planned by a partnership with E Street Development Group LLC, CityPartners, and Potomac Investment Properties. According to a press release, the property will feature two towers, one which will house citizenM and one which will house 194 apartments atop ground-floor retail.
