Marriott International, Inc. (NASDAQ:MAR) is pleased to announce the opening of Element Santa Clara, the newest hotel in Silicon Valley designed for today's healthy, active traveller who wants to maintain a balanced lifestyle while away from home. Element by Westin® Hotels has redefined the longer stay experience with an outdoor-inspired design philosop hy that is clean, modern and bright. Designed by AXIS/GFA Architecture + Design, in partnership with Linda Snyder and Associates, the hotel is ideal for both corporate travellers and leisure guests who are focused on a healthy, balanced lifestyle. Built "green from the ground-up", Element Hotels incorporates sustainable design and eco-friendly practices from the beginning. The hotel is LEED® Silver Certified, featuring energy-efficient LED lighting, in-room water filtration systems to reduce single-use bottle waste, electric vehicle charging stations, and an on-property recycling room. The property is owned by Seattle-based Washington Holdings and managed by Evolution Hospitality.

Guest Rooms
Reflecting the smart design of urban residences, the flowing layouts of the hotel's 175 guest rooms and public areas were created to maximize space and encourage a sense of well-being through a nature-influenced environment, with an abundance of natural light, clean lines and a color palette of strong, natural tones. Guest rooms feature the signature Westin Heavenly® bed, spa-inspired bathrooms and kitchenettes or fully-equipped kitchens designed for a longer length of stay.

Hotel Features and Amenities
Bar Sereno, the hotel's indoor/outdoor social hub, is open daily, serving fresh dishes including unique bowls and flatbreads, as well as signature cocktails and beer and wine selections featuring local, sustainability-based breweries and wineries. The hotel also features Element's signature, complimentary Rise breakfast including made-to-order options, a Chobani® yogurt station, wholesome granola, fresh fruits and more. Relax, the hotel's complimentary evening reception, offers local beers and wines Monday through Thursday evenings.

Element Santa Clara also features Motion® fitness center, including treadmills, elliptical trainers, a water rower and spin bike, along with an outdoor saline swimming pool an d jacuzzi. Guests can enjoy the beautiful weather in Santa Clara while playing recreational games such as Cornhole and Connect4 in the lawn area, or spend the evening by the firepit and outdoor fireplace or barbequing with friends and colleagues. Meeting and Event Space
The hotel is the ideal location for small-to-mid size corporate meetings and social events. Its three meeting rooms comprise a total of 1,415 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, ideal for groups of up to 60 people as well as a large outdoor terrace area featuring a beautiful custom fireplace. Following Element Hotels' eco-conscious philosophy, every event at Element Santa Clara is smart and fresh, incorporating eco-friendly practices where possible to help clients play their part in sustainability.

Location
Locate d in the heart of Santa Clara, California, the hotel lies within walking distance from Levi's Stadium and California's Great America theme park. It is centrally located in Silicon Valley near many of the major Fortune 500 tech companies and is minutes from the San Jose Convention Center and San Jose International Airport. The hotel is part of the newest addition to the Mission Park R&D/office park together with a new retail development called Mission Park Marketplace, which will include 23,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space to be completed in the fall of 2019.
