Adventurous Journeys (AJ) Capital Partners acquired The Homestead at 625 Hinman Avenue in Evanston, Illinois. The eight-story, 91-key hotel will run independently as The Homestead prior to and during renovations, which will begin in early 2020. Once completed in fall 2020, the hotel will debut as part of the Graduate Hotels® collection.

Set to be designed by Chicago-based DMAC Architecture, the hotel is projected to open by fall 2020. "We are thrilled to be working with AJ Capital Partners on the renovation and rebranding of this historic building," said Dwayne MacEwen, Founder and Principal at DMAC Architecture. "We look forward to uncovering elements of the building, bringing new life to this exceptional property with a fresh perspective on hospitality."

The building itself originally opened in 1927 and makes the prestigious list of Historic Places by the National Register. Upon reopening, the handcrafted, locally-driven hotel will offer more than 91 refreshed guest rooms as well as a new restaurant and café concept.
