Taking advantage of the long Sicilian summer, Verdura Resort by Rocco Forte Hotels will launch eight beautiful new villas this September. Set on the estate's hillside that gently slopes towards the resort's private beach, the new villas will guarantee privacy and security for those who seek independent accommodation, but with the exclusive services that have made Verdura famous throughout the Mediterranean.

Ideal for multigenerational stays, the villas have been designed by Olga Polizzi - Director of Design at Rocco Forte Hotels - as individual private residences, each with their own style. The villas' architecture is inspired by Sicily's natural beauty and incorporates the characteristic features that the region is known for: traditional beams, flat roofs, external stairs and floor-to-ceiling windows that allow light to illuminate the interiors. They will be decorated in warm earth tones in harmony with the tuff stone that is typical of construction in the region and used as a main material in the villas.
Arranged over two levels and all with unparalleled views of the Sicilian coast and Mediterranean Sea, the new villas will feature three and four bedrooms. The ground floor of the villas will be home to a bright living area and fully equipped kitchen, with the bedrooms and balconies situated on the first floor, which has direct access to a private swimming pool. Surrounding each villa's pool will be a garden, where plants and local shrubs blend into the landscape, with a decorative separation between spaces.

The villas' décor will pay homage to emblems of Sicilian art, such as the gilding of the late Byzantine mosaics at the Palatine Chapel and the perfect geometries seen in the floor of the island's Monreale Cathedral. Olga Polizzi has been able to incorporate these influences into recurring patterns for the colour palettes and fabrics used inside the villas, whilst maintaining uniqueness between the villas. Inside, the use of a mobile partition system will allow for rooms to be divided whilst keeping continuity between the spaces. Outside, the spacious patio will become a further extension of the villa.
Guests of the new villas at Verdura Resort will be able to enjoy a series of services included in their stay, including: private transfer from Palermo or Trapani airport, check-in directly at the villa, three bicycles and two golf buggies for exclusive use to move freely within the estate, luggage storage service on arrival and departure, non-alcoholic minibar along with a selection of Sicilian wines and delicatessen products and access to the resort's golf courses and Verdura Spa. Villa guests will also be able to speak with the dedicated and expert concierge of the island, 'U Canuscituri'. As the resort's local insider, U Canuscituri is able to unveil all the secrets of local life and select the best experiences for guests to try on the island.
