First Hospitality Opens Home2 Suites Des Moines Drake University

First Hospitality today announces the opening of Home2 Suites by Hilton Des Moines Drake University. Located on the Drake University campus at 2650 University Ave., the 124-room hotel expands First Hospitality's existing presence in Iowa.

Home2 Suites Des Moines offers queen and king suite-style accommodations. The hotel also features two meeting spaces totaling over 1,000 square feet, an indoor saline pool, an outdoor patio space with a firepit, and a sports kitchen is slated to open at the hotel in 2021. Home2 Suites Des Moines is led by General Manager Michael Weldon and Director of Sales and Marketing Renee Nash. Weldon brings nearly a decade of experience to his role working in the Des Moines hospitality community, which is complemented by Nash's marketing expertise.
