Set on a rocky cliffside, this year Villa Treville, the hidden gem of the Amalfi will offer guests an elevated stay with the addition of a new spa, Botanical Bar and acquisition of Villa Maura.

The property has a glittering past, and has been a favourite address for artists, writers, and creatives since the 1920s. Villa Treville was also the eccentric residence of Franco Zeffirelli, the famed Italian opera and film director and accents from his time at the property can be seen throughout.

La Traviata Wellness & Spa, named after one of Zeffirelli's operas, will be housed in the property's newly renovated Art Nouveau Green-House, offering visitors a relaxation experience surrounded by lush gardens with vistas over the sparkling sea. The spa will use the products of luxury beauty-guru Dr Barbara Sturm, a frequent guest of the property, and treatments can be enjoyed in the secluded gardens or spa itself.

Originally part of the property, the reacquisition of Villa Maura will take the total number of villas to six, with each offering an insight into its previous owners via different décor and aesthetics.

This season the Moroccan style Bianca Bar, housed in what was Zefirelli's salon, presents a new Botanical Bar. Specialist mixologists will create cocktails with homemade infusions from the estate's gardens for guests to enjoy on the vine adorned terrace, sitting on plush sofas under the Amalfi sun.

Also, new this year, Executive Chef Vincenzo Castaldo will be offering a new Chef's Table experience at lunch and dinner, as well as a mouth-watering pastry corner celebrating Campania's confectionary heritage during breakfast service. After a sweet treat, guests can enjoy outdoor yoga and pilates on La Rotonda terrace or work out in the property's new Technogym.
