Wylder Windham, the third family-friendly, all-season resort by Wylder Hotels, opens today in the charming town of Windham, New York, in the Great Northern Catskills. Known for embracing iconic soulful properties and wide-open spaces, Wylder Windham captures the nostalgic spirit of the Catskills and celebrates the timeless pleasures that the region has to offer.

Following a top-to-bottom reimagining of the former Thompson House Resort, which opened in 1880 and operated for 140 years under the same family ownership, Wylder Windham is welcoming guests at the Tamarack Lodge (16 rooms) and the Main Lodge (13 rooms) with a full transformation set to complete in September 2022. Featuring oversized balconies with outlooks of Windham Mountain and the Batavia Kill, guests can breathe in the fresh air and enjoy both indoor and outdoor living spaces. "The Baller Suite," located in the Main Lodge, features double balconies overlooking the pool with sweeping views of the mountain.

Sprawling across 20 pastoral acres spanning both sides of Route 296, the dog-friendly Wylder Windham is adjacent to Windham Country Club, an 18-hole public golf course; the Windham Path, a local favorite hiking trail; and a short, two-minute drive to Windham Ski Mountain. For off-site activities, complimentary guest transportation is offered in a restored vintage Land Rover Defender 110 Shuttle. Nearby local businesses include The Vineyard at Windham, The Windham Local, Millrock Restaurant, Union + Post's restaurant, The Windham Spa, and Westkill Brewery.
